I'm so glad you stopped by!

Let me tell you a little bit about me.

My name is Mallory. I am a wife and mom to two boys.

I am a 2nd grade teacher and fitness enthusiast.

I am saved by God's amazing grace and couldn't do life without him

by my side.

My love for fitness started at an early age. You could always find me outside when I was younger, playing all the sports in middle school, and cheering my way through high school and college.

I then worked at a fitness center for 4 years, until I found a teaching job.

In 2010 my husband and I got married and 3 years later we brought our first born home on our 3rd anniversary. Our life has been a beautiful whirlwind ever since! 4 years later, I had my second baby boy. Exercise was always around (whether it was in the form of walking, going to the gym, or random home TaeBo workouts). But I never fully committed my nutrition with with fitness routines.

In 2019, I got the worse call I could have received. My mom called frantically to tell me that my dad had just had a stroke and they were flying him to St. Louis to care for him. My dad was 72 and still very active and working part time as a janitor at my school through his retirement. That month was one of the hardest months of my life. We had many ups and downs with my dad going back and forth between the ICU, a local hospital, and then finally a local nursing home.

My dad is still currently in the nursing home, he can no longer us the left side of his body and his memory is very poor. Then COVID happened, and visitation rights changed and we could only see him for a short time behind glass. To say this was a struggle is an understatement.

Through my journey with my dad and family, I have learned just how precious life really is. I hate that my dad isn't around to play catch with my boys, and watch them participate in sports. I hate that I can no longer have conversations with him every day at school.

So this is why in April of 2020, I decided to make a change. I decided to make my health a priority in my life. I want to stay around and healthy as long as possible for my boys and my future grandchildren. I want to teach not only my boys, but everyone that their is a way to honor God and give glory to him through our health and fitness.

If you have made it this far, thank you.

Thank you for following me and my journey.

I pray that you too can find inspiration in health and fitness.

Live faithfully,

Mallory
